For the last few years the conversation about artificial intelligence has been loud, fast, and mostly abstract. Alcai is my attempt to make it concrete: one focused piece every week about using AI well in the places you actually live and work.
No hype, no doom. Just practical upskilling you can apply the same afternoon you read it.
What this is#
Each issue takes a single situation — a meeting, an inbox, a side project, a quiet evening — and shows how a thoughtful use of AI changes it. Sometimes that means a workflow. Sometimes a prompt. Sometimes simply a better way to think about the tool in front of you.
The goal is fluency, not novelty. The people who get the most out of these systems are rarely the ones chasing the newest model; they're the ones who built steady habits around the tools they already have.
The best time to get good with AI was two years ago. The second best time is this week's issue.
How it works#
One post, every week. Short enough to read on a break, specific enough to act on. I write each one in both English and Italian, so it lands the same way whoever you are and wherever you read it.
Here's what you can expect:
- At work — drafting, reviewing, planning, and the unglamorous tasks that eat your day.
- At home — organizing, learning, and small automations that give time back.
- For makers — building with AI as a developer, designer, or curious tinkerer.

Bookmark the page and come back next week. The archive will grow one careful issue at a time, and you can read it in whatever order suits you.
Thanks for being here at the beginning. Let's get good at this together.
